Weather Service Delays:

Bainbridge Disposal is committed to providing reliable collection for all customers. However, in the event that circumstances such as unsafe roads interfere with service schedules, we appreciate customer understanding and cooperation as we manage collection on emergency scheduling.

Weather-Delayed Curbside Collection Standard Procedure:

If weather conditions prevent collection of curbside garbage or recycling, please leave your containers at the street. We will attempt to collect them as weather permits.  If we are unable to collect your can, up to twice the regular amount of garbage and/or yard waste will be accepted at, no additional charge on the next regularly scheduled collection day. No service credits will apply for missed service due to weather conditions.

Commercial and Multi-family Weather-Delayed Collection:  Service as soon as conditions allow.

Service Delay Priorities:

  • Highest service priority to establishments such as health clinics and restaurants, where the retrieval of garbage is critical to public health and safety.
  • Commercial accounts serviced as soon as safety allows.
  • Residential garbage and recycling collected on the next regularly scheduled service day unless otherwise announced. (Twice regular amounts accepted at no charge to make up for missed service.)

**Every Other Week Recycling & Yard Waste Collected Two (2) weeks after Missed Collection:

If recycling or yard waste is regularly collected every other week, the missed material will be collected on the next scheduled day for that container (two weeks from the missed collection), unless residents are otherwise notified by telephone or on this site.

Extra garbage: Place next to garbage container in:

  • Securely tied plastic bags labeled "Garbage" or
  • 32-gal can with handle and lid (65 lb limit) labeled "Garbage"

Extra recycling: Place next to recycling cart in:

  • Plastic recycling bins / no recycling in plastic bags.

Extra yard trimmings (No food scraps or plastic): Place next to yard cart in:

  • 32-gal cans with handles & lids (65 lb limit).

When weather conditions prevent safe collection, we announce service delays on this website and the Bremerton Sun and Bainbridge Review.
